Directing

@Cap One shootI fell in love with directing when I produced a series of videos and a commercial for a Family Violence prevention initiative. I found that actors, when a role is clearly explained oftentimes create a persona that can surprise me.

That level of collaboration has been one of the more enjoyable aspects of being an Emmy winning director of actors. From comedy to tragedy I find the exploration of characters, through talented actors, a wonderful experience.

In one of the videos on the site, a training program for Capital One, I directed actors from 65 to 9 years old and everything in between. We created a family out of individuals and made it work.

The other element to that, of course, is the crew. I have had the honor to work with some incredible Directors of Photography (you may know them as videographers). Again that kind of creative collaboration with like-minded artists, is truly one of the most fulfilling elements of my career.
